Homemade Ranch Dressing

Ranch dressing is a staple, isn’t it? I love to dip things, and so do my kids. This is a good, basic dressing. I came up with it by just adding spices until I liked it. If you don’t like one of the spices, omit it. Or, add others that you really enjoy. Tonight we had this with some Ham and Cheese Pockets.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (I often substitute lemon juice mixed with milk for actual buttermilk.)
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp dry dill
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Mix all ingredients together and chill before serving.
